The Way to Use SFO E-link Services

To use My Applications (Financial Assistance Schemes at Post-secondary and Tertiary Levels) or My Bills services on SFO E-link, you need to become a registered user of SFO E-link and “iAM Smart” and/or MyGovHK. Both “iAM Smart” and MyGovHK Easy Sign-on function allow you to access My Applications (Financial Assistance Schemes at Post-secondary and Tertiary Levels) or My Bills services directly by just logging into your “iAM Smart” and/or MyGovHK account(s) after the linkup. You can follow the steps below to access My Applications (Financial Assistance Schemes at Post-secondary and Tertiary Levels) or My Bills services:

  1. You may register for an “iAM Smart” account and access SFO E-link service(s) with it, or register for a MyGovHK account and go to “My Online Services” to link up with the SFO E-link service(s).
  2. For My Applications (Financial Assistance Schemes at Post-secondary and Tertiary Levels) services, you need to provide your HKID card number.
  3. For My Bills services, you need to provide the Link-up Code, ATM / PPS Reference Number or Loan Reference Number in the Notification of Result, demand note or the letter of Commencement of Loan Repayment issued by SFO in respect of your loan account(s).
  4. Then follow the step-by-step guide to provide the above information for registration of My Applications (Financial Assistance Schemes at Post-secondary and Tertiary Levels) or My Bills services on SFO E-link.

 

To use My Counter Appointments services on SFO E-link to make appointments for interviews on matters related to loan applications, you can select to log in with HKID card number, “iAM Smart” account or MyGovHK account:

  • Login with HKID card number: You must provide your HKID card number, month and year of birth and mobile phone number.
  • Login with “iAM Smart” or MyGovHK account: You must log into your “iAM Smart” or MyGovHK account and establish a link-up between your “iAM Smart” or MyGovHK account and “SFO E-link – My Counter Appointments” services. You can access My Counter Appointments services by just logging into your “iAM Smart” or MyGovHK account after the link-up.

To use My Counter Appointments services on SFO E-link to make appointments for collection of cheque(s) under the Extended Non-means-tested Loan Scheme (ENLS), you are required to log in with your approval number under the ENLS and provide your mobile phone number and/or email address.

Access MyGovHK

To use My Applications (Financial Assistance Schemes at Pre-primary, Primary and Secondary Levels) service for accessing your pre-filled Electronic Household Application Form for Student Financial Assistance Schemes, you need to provide a unique 16-digit Access Code and some personal information for the purpose of identity verification.  The SFO has already sent Access Codes to eligible continuing applicants by post.

To use My Application Status service, you need to provide certain personal information you have already provided in your application for financial assistance for the purpose of identity verification.

To use the service of My Options – Commencement of Loan Repayment, you need to provide your 25-digit personal code for the purpose of identity verification. You can find your personal code in the letter of Commencement of Loan Repayment issued by SFO.

For other services, no registration or verification is required.
