Who Can Use This Service

You can use this online service to submit application for entry under the Admission Scheme for the Second Generation of Chinese Hong Kong Permanent Residents (the Scheme) in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).

This online service is not applicable to extension of stay application under the Scheme. If required, you may apply via this website.

Documents to be Submitted Online

Documents marked with * are mandatory.

A. Applicant:

  • *Valid travel document
    (Those pages, including observation page, containing personal particulars, date of issue and date of expiry and/or details of any re-entry held)
  • Hong Kong identity card (if any)
  • The latest “e-Visa” (if any)


  • *Applicant’s recent photograph


  • *Relationship proof with Chinese Hong Kong Permanent Resident parent(s)
    (e.g. birth certificate)


  • *Parent’s valid Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card(s)


  • Parent’s marriage certificate (if any)


  • *Academic qualification
    (e.g. education or technical qualification, proven professional abilities and/ or relevant work experience and achievements)


  • *Financial standing
    (e.g. bank statements, savings accounts passbooks, tax receipts and salary slips)


  • Other supporting documents


B. Each accompanying dependant of an applicant under the Scheme

  • *Dependant’s valid travel document
    (Those pages, including observation page, containing personal particulars, date of issue and date of expiry and/or details of any re-entry held)
  • Dependant’s Hong Kong identity card (if any)
  • Dependant’s latest “e-Visa” (if any)


  • *Dependant’s recent photograph


  • *Evidence of the applicant’s relationship with the dependant, e.g. marriage certificates, birth certificates and census record book


  • *Sponsor’s marriage certificate (if the dependant is a unmarried child under the age of 18)


  • Other supporting documents, such as:
    • Macao identity card [for Macao SAR residents only]
    • Household registration in Taiwan and Taiwan identity card [for Taiwan resident’s only]


Where a document is not in Chinese or English, it must be accompanied by a Chinese or English translation certified as a true translation by a sworn translator, court translator, authorised public translator, certified translator, expert translator or official translator.

Please note that in the online application process, the applicant and dependant (if applicable) will be required to fill in an online application form and sign to confirm that all information given in the online application form is correct, complete and true. If the dependant is under the age of 16 (child dependant), the online application form must be signed by his/her parent or legal guardian.

Before uploading the required documents, you will need to scan them in one of the following formats:


File size: 5Mbytes or below for each file

Colour depth: Grayscale (for documents without photos)
                       Colour (for documents with photos)

Please ensure that the information you provide is correct. Incorrect information may render your submission invalid.

Group Submission

If your accompanying dependants are also applying for the visa/entry permit, you can submit their applications with yours as a group. The maximum number of applications that can be submitted in each group is five. The system will guide you through the steps of providing the personal information of each applicant, and uploading the documents required. If you cannot obtain the online submission acknowledgment at the end of the process, you will have to re-submit the applications.

Supplementary Document Submission

If you have submitted an entry application under the Scheme and received a notification letter from the Immigration Department asking you to provide supplementary documents, you can use the online submission service.
