Repeater Early Test Appointment Booking Service
- You are eligible to apply if you failed or partially passed in the last road test;
- You are eligible to apply if you have not been convicted of any specified serious traffic offence in the 5 years immediately preceding the application (for commercial vehicle road test repeaters only).
Note 1: If you have already purchased a test form, you are NOT eligible to apply for a repeater early test appointment.
Note 2: If you hold a full driving licence that has already expired over 3 years, you are NOT eligible to apply for a repeater early test appointment.
1. Register for the balloting
- Eligible repeaters can register for balloting for a repeater early test appointment after at least 4 working days from the date of his/her last driving test via Online Booking for Driving Tests or hotline 2866 8148.

2. Select a test slot
- Ballot winners are required to complete the selection of a test slot from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the date they have won the ballot via Online Booking for Driving Tests or hotline 2866 8148.
3. Settle the payment
- Candidates should pay for the test form within 2 working days after the date of successful reservation of a test slot.
4. Arrangement of unsuccessful repeaters
- If you are not successful in any balloting within the balloting period, you will receive a notification SMS or email and you may register again for the balloting if necessary.

- Ballot results will be announced on the Transport Department’s website at 9:00 a.m. on the balloting day (Mondays to Fridays, except public holidays). Ballot winners will receive a notification SMS or email;
- You may also enquire your ballot result via Online Booking for Driving Tests or hotline 2866 8148.
- Settle the payment online (iAM Smart+ / Digital Certificate is required) via Online Booking for Driving Tests or
- Visit the specified licensing office with completed driving test application form (TD82 for non-commercial vehicles / TD321 for commercial vehicles) and the documents required for payment.
