Regular Quota for Hong Kong Private Cars to Macao (Access to City Centre)

  • Hong Kong non-commercial private cars (HK PCs) possess with regular quotas to Macao are allowed to make multiple access to the city centre of Macao via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge during the quota validity period.
  • The regular quotas are divided into Company Quota and Individual Quota.
  • Each quota is valid for not more than three years and will be re-allocated upon expiry through open application.

 

Eligibility for quota application and drivers

 

Note:

Each applicant is allowed to submit one application only. Submitting more than one application may result in disqualification.

  1. Submit application to the Transport Department during the designated application period.
  2. Submit “Closed Road Permit” (CRP) application to the Transport Department after receiving Transport Department’s invitation.
  3. Make appointments with the Macao Customs Service for collecting and displaying labels and permits issued by Macao government authorities.

Note:

If you wish to apply for / renew the CRP, you should submit a duly completed application form (Application Form TD547D / Renewal Form TD547) together with the required supporting documents to the Cross Boundary Unit of the Transport Department by post / drop-in box / in person or by agents (Address: Room 1032, 10/F, Harbour Building, 38 Pier Road, Central, Hong Kong).

  • Annual fee for a CRP under application is HK$540.

If applicant would like to apply for a permit with the validity period shorter than one year, the fee is HK$45 per month. Any part of a month will be counted as one month.

  • Applicants are required to complete other formalities as required by the Macao and Mainland government authorities, such as purchasing the Mainland compulsory traffic accident liability insurance for motor vehicles, the Macao statutory vehicle insurance, etc.

Since the procedures and price schedules for various formalities are set by the relevant organisations, and may be updated from time to time, applicants are advised to obtain up-to-date information on the required procedures and fees before submitting applications.
