Online Application for Entry under the Admission Scheme for the Second Generation of Chinese Hong Kong Permanent Residents

Who Can Use This Service

You can use this online service to submit application for entry into the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) under the Admission Scheme for the Second Generation of Chinese Hong Kong Permanent Residents (the Scheme).

This online service is not applicable to extension of stay application under the Scheme.

Applicants admitted or seeking admission under the Scheme may also apply through this online service to bring in their spouse and unmarried dependent children under the age of 18 to the HKSAR under the prevailing dependant policy.

You can combine your application form and/ or supplementary documents if the pages exceed the maximum number of files indicated in respective categories.

Where a document is not in Chinese or English, it must be accompanied by a Chinese or English translation certified as a true translation by a sworn translator, court translator, authorised public translator, certified translator, expert translator or official translator.

* Remark: Before uploading the required documents you will need to scan and save them in one of the following formats:

Please ensure that the scanned document copies are clear and legible, and that each page is in the correct position (i.e. that the copy of the application form has the bar code in the lower right corner).

How to Start

Once you have prepared your application forms and supplementary documents, you can access the online service through the following link.

Online application for entry under the Scheme

You will then need to enter the following information:

For Applicant:

  • your name, sex, date of birth and place of birth;
  • your father and/ or mother’s Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card number; and
  • your Hong Kong identity card number (if any).

For Dependant:

  • your sponsor’s Hong Kong identity card number (if any) (for separate application);
  • your sponsor’s transaction reference number (TRN) or application reference number (ARN) (for separate application);
  • your sponsor’s name, sex, date of birth and place of birth (for separate application);
  • your name, sex and date of birth; and
  • your Hong Kong identity card number (if any).

A TRN will be generated after you have successfully submitted your application under the Scheme through this online service. You may need to retain the TRN if you wish to submit online dependant application under the Scheme at a later time.
