Online Appointment Booking

If you know what supporting documents are required, you can now make your appointment online. Otherwise, please check for the details in the paragraphs below.

Please note that you must submit your application for extension of stay before your limit of stay expires. If you contravene a condition of stay (including your limit of stay), you will be liable to prosecution.

How to Start

To make an appointment, you will need to access the service through the link above, then enter the application reference number of your latest visa, entry permit or extension of stay application and your date of birth. You will also need to input your current limit of stay. If you are a foreign domestic helper or an imported worker whose contract has been terminated before your current limit of stay, you must input the date of contract termination as well.

Please ensure that the information you provide is correct. Incorrect information may render your appointment invalid.

Appointment Date

You can select your appointment within the following 24 working days*. The result of the booking is subject to the availability of quota of each office. You can only make one appointment within the 24-working-day* period.

If you are on employment (other than foreign domestic helper or imported worker), student, residence or dependant status, you can select an appointment date up to 4 weeks before the expiry of your current limit of stay.

If you are an imported worker or a foreign domestic helper who wishes to submit an extension of stay application with a new employer (change of employer), you can normally select an appointment date up to 4 weeks before the expiry of your current limit of stay. However, if your contract is terminated before the expiry of your current limit of stay, you can select an appointment date up to 4 weeks before the termination date of you current contract, or within 2 weeks after the termination date of the contract provided that the appointment date does not fall after the expiry of your current limit of stay.

If you are a foreign domestic helper who wishes to submit an extension of stay application with the same employer, you can select an appointment date up to 8 weeks before the expiry of your current limit of stay.

Group Bookings

Except foreign domestic helpers and imported workers, you may make an appointment for up to four applicants, with a maximum of four applications. The four applicants must have been admitted to Hong Kong under the same arrangement/policy, or must be a person admitted for employment/education/residence and his or her dependants. Applicants for the same appointment should turn up at the chosen office together at the selected time slot.

When a successful appointment is made and you choose to receive an appointment reminder, an email reminder will be sent to the email address you provided 2 days before the appointment day. You can change your email address or cancel the reminder at least 3 days before the appointment day.

Appointment Change or Cancellation

After an appointment is made, you can change or cancel the appointment at least 1 day before the appointment date. For changing an appointment, the earliest day will be on the next working day* of the date of changing the appointment.
