Caution on Phishing Emails and Website

In view of the recent reporting of phishing emails purportedly issued by the e-Procurement System of HKSARG inviting the recipient for tender submission, we would like to remind you to take extra cautions. It is critical to carefully check EVERYTHING before taking any action in an email:

• Always verify the sender’s email address. Even if the email looks familiar, double-check the sender’s details.
• Check every link very carefully. If the email contains any link that does not point to “https://www.gov.hk/eprocurement” or “https://www.eprocurement.gov.hk”,  do NOT click it. Hover your mouse over links to see the actual URL before clicking. Many phishing emails disguise harmful links by masking the real destination.
• Examine attachments carefully. Only open attachments from trusted sources and if you are expecting them.
• Never provide personal information or passwords in response to unsolicited emails.

The e-Procurement System of HKSARG has no connection with the phishing emails and website. Please be reminded not to open any suspicious email. If you have already opened the attachment accidentally or input your email credential, please reset your email password immediately.
