Proposed updates to safety standards for children’s products

Revision of the Code of Practice (CoP) on Energy Labelling of Products for the Fourth Phase of the Mandatory Energy Efficiency Labelling Scheme (MEELS)

The Mainland Judgments in Civil and Commercial Matters (Reciprocal Enforcement) Bill and The Mainland Judgments in Civil and Commercial Matters (Reciprocal Enforcement) Rules

Brief Description : This Bill and the relevant Rules are to implement the Arrangement on Reciprocal Recognition and Enforcement of Judgments in Civil and Commercial Matters by the Courts of the Mainland and of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region signed between the Supreme People’s Court and the Hong Kong SAR Government on 18 January 2019 (the “REJ Arrangement”) by introducing a mechanism for registration of judgments given by the courts of the Mainland in civil and commercial matters for purpose of enforcement in Hong Kong.  The proposed legislative scheme also facilitates the recognition and enforcement in the Mainland of Hong Kong Judgments in civil and commercial matters by empowering the Hong Kong court to issue certified copies of and certificates for such Hong Kong Judgments.
