Registration for One-off Subsidy (Taxis/Red Minibuses)
To assist the transport trades in coping with the operating pressure due to the onset of the fifth COVID-19 wave and the imposition of further social distancing measures, under the sixth round of the Anti-epidemic Fund, the Government will provide a one-off non-accountable subsidy of HK$30,000 for each eligible taxi and red minibus.
Registration Arrangements
- The Transport Department will issue letters to inform all eligible registered owners of taxis and red minibuses of the detailed arrangements for Registration for One-off Subsidy (Taxis/Red Minibuses) starting from April 2022.
- Eligible registered owners have to use the 6-digit Registration PIN shown on the letters for registration through the online system provided by the Transport Department on or before 31 May 2023.
- When eligible registered owners have finished entering the required information, the system will display the Registration Reference Number instantly.
- After receipt of the registration and completion of checking by the Transport Department, the subsidy will be disbursed to the local bank account provided through autopay in about 1 to 2 months. The vehicle owner concerned will be informed separately after disbursement of the subsidy.
