Your driving behaviour is closely related to your health condition. Therefore, for the sake of the safety of passengers and other road users:
- never drive under fatigue or bad health condition.
- go for regular body-check to ensure you are fit for driving.
- keep yourself hydrated for the day.
- no drug driving.
- no drink driving.
- stretch regularly. It may keep you from neck, shoulder and back pain resulted from long hours of driving.
Drink Driving and Dangerous Driving
If you drink, don’t drive! Drink driving is a serious criminal offence and will cost you a maximum fine of HK$25,000, up to 3 years’ imprisonment and 10 driving-offence points. You will also be disqualified from driving for six months to five years.
At the time of committing a dangerous driving offence, if you are found intoxicated by specified illicit drugs, or the alcohol level is found at Tier 3, you will fall in “circumstances of aggravation”, where the penalties will be increased. Read more from the links below.
