Computer Facilities and Resources offered at Public Libraries

All static public libraries in Hong Kong provide computers installed with assistive software, hardware or function for the visually impaired. These include screen readers, Chinese input software customised for the visually impaired and screen magnification function. The Hong Kong Central Library also provides Open Book software for scanning and reading English books or materials. Refreshable Braille display devices are also available in the Hong Kong Central Library, City Hall, Kowloon, Ngau Chi Wan, Ping Shan Tin Shui Wai, Sha Tin, Tsuen Wan, Tuen Mun and Yuen Chau Kok Public Libraries to meet the specific needs of readers.
