Mr Lam Sai-hung

Mr Lam Sai-hung was appointed the Secretary for Transport and Logistics on 1 July 2022.

Mr Lam joined the Government as a civil engineering graduate in 1983 and became an assistant engineer in 1986. During his service in the Government, Mr Lam worked in different works departments and bureau, participating in various public works projects including bridges, roads, railways and site formation. He was appointed the Director of Civil Engineering and Development in August 2016, overseeing the planning and implementation of new development areas and major infrastructures. Between October 2018 and October 2021, he was the Permanent Secretary for Development (Works) overseeing public works policy and infrastructural development. 

Mr Lam received his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Hong Kong in 1983. He is a fellow member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and the Institution of Civil Engineers.
