- With effect from 1 August 2010, FEHD has -
- introduced the composite food shop licence to facilitate the trade for the sale and / or preparation for sale of various specified types of simple or ready-to-eat foods that do not involve complicated preparation;
- reduced minimum food room requirements for licensed General Restaurants (GRs), Light Refreshment Restaurants (LRRs) and Factory Canteens (FCs) to allow licencees to expand seating area for operating purposes; and

- For collection of provisional food licences, FEHD will issue the provisional licence within one working day after the applicant submits all necessary documents at the licensing office in person.
