The appointment booking period for application of Hong Kong identity card at Registration of Persons Offices is 24 working days. You are advised to make prior appointment through the Internet (www.gov.hk/icbookinghttp://www.gov.hk/en/residents/immigration/idcard/hkic/bookregidcard.htm) or by telephone (2598 0888).

Depending on the type of your application, you may need to submit it and/or attend an interview at a Registration of Persons Office or an Immigration and Registration of Persons Office.  Here you can learn their locations, opening hours, services provided and where to go for further information.

Hong Kong

Registration of Persons – Hong Kong Office
