When arriving in or exiting from Hong Kong you can choose one of 11 control points. The following table describes control points covering air, land and sea travel, provides relevant details on their use, and lists opening hours.

2. Lo Wu | The major land boundary control point, with a purpose-built Visitor Clearance Hall. Even during peak travel seasons the waiting time at Lo Wu is shorter than that at Lok Ma Chau. | 6:30 am to midnight |
3. Hung Hom | Shorter waiting time for entry. | 6:30 am to 11:45 pm |
4. Lok Ma Chau | The busiest land boundary control point. Normally, the waiting time for clearance is longer, especially during peak travel seasons, holidays and weekends. | 24 hours |
5. Lok Ma Chau Spur Line | Shorter waiting time for entry. | 6:30 am to 10:30 pm |
6. Man Kam To | Shorter waiting time for entry. | 7:00 am to 10:00 pm (*5:30 pm to 7:30 pm) |
7. Sha Tau Kok | Light passenger traffic. Chosen by fewer passengers. | 7:00 am to 10:00 pm |
8. China Ferry Terminal | Shorter waiting time for entry. | 6:00 am to midnight |
