Established in 1984, the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts offers professional education, training and research facilities in the performing arts including music, dance, drama, theatre and entertainment arts, film and television and Chinese traditional theatre. The HKADC is an independent statutory body established in 1995. The mission of the HKADC is to plan, promote and support the development of the arts in Hong Kong, including the literary, performing, visual and film and media arts, with a view to improving the quality of life and artistic creativity of the whole community.
