The IT Hong Kong Campaign is a government programme to promote awareness of information technology (IT), encourage wider IT use in the community, and to encourage the development of IT ethics. The Campaign covers a series of public activities including IT courses and activities.

Since its inception, the IT Hong Kong Campaign has helped to provide facilities and has undertaken activities including:

• An IT Awareness Programme that encourages the use of IT services amongst all sectors of the community, particularly housewives, the elderly, people with disabilities and new immigrants from mainland China

• IT pioneer. If you want to be an IT pioneer to receive emails from the IT Hong Kong Campaign regularly, you can send an email with ”I want to be an IT pioneer” in the subject line to enquiry@ithk.gov.hk ( mailto:enquiry@ithk.gov.hk ). Please include the following wording and information in your email:

• A series of infotainment radio programmes have been launched to keep the public up-to-date about IT news, enhancement and information security

IT courses are offered free or for a nominal fee by a number of Non-Government Organisations (NGOs). The latest news and information on events organised by the IT Hong Kong Campaign are also available.
