You are eligible to enrol for the e-Channel service if you are:
|(1)||Aged 17 or above;|
|(2)||Holding a Republic of Korea passport valid for at least 6 months;|
|(3)||A current member of the Smart Entry Service (SES)* of Korea; and|
|(4)||Having no adverse record in the HKSAR.|
*A current member of the SES should have a label affixed in the passport as shown below.

You are not required to enrol under the new arrangement if you have already enrolled under the e-Channel Service for Frequent Visitorshttp://www.gov.hk/en/nonresidents/visarequire/echannel/fv.htm unless you have replaced / renewed your passport.
Enrolment is free of charge and on voluntary basis.
Step 1: Online Pre-enrolment
You must complete the online pre-enrolment through the link below and print out the Notification Slip on an A4-size blank white paper upon successful pre-enrolment.
Step 2: Enrolment at Hong Kong Enrolment Office
You can enrol for the e-Channel service free of charge at the Enrolment Office located at the Hong Kong International Airport with your passport (valid for at least 6 months) and the valid Notification Slip.
The locations and opening hours of the Enrolment Offices are as follows:

At the enrolment, you are required to present your valid Republic of Korea passport, sign an enrolment form and have your fingerprints and photograph taken.
If there are any changes in the enrolment information, you have to submit a new online pre-enrolment, print the new Notification Slip and enrol for use of e-Channel service in person again at the Enrolment Office before continuing to use the e-Channel. The updating service is free of charge.

Use of e-Channel
After successful enrolment, you can use the e-Channel at control points in the following locations:
- Hong Kong International Airport
- Lo Wu
- Lok Ma Chau Spur Line
- Shenzhen Bay
- Lok Ma Chau (Arrival)
- Man Kam To
- Macau Ferry Terminal
- China Ferry Terminal
- Kai Tak Cruise Terminal
Upon using the e-Channel, you should place your enrolled Republic of Korea passport onto the document reader. When the reading process has finished, you will be able to enter the e-Channel. After entering the e-Channel, you will need to place the enrolled thumb or finger flat on the centre of the fingerprint scanner to verify your fingerprint as shown in the following illustration.
After successful fingerprint verification, a landing slip containing the conditions and limit of stay will be printed (upon arrival only) for your safe custody. After collecting the landing slip, you can leave the e-Channel.

Cancellation of Enrolment
If you are an enrolled holder of the Republic of Korea passport, you may apply for cancellation of the enrolment by completing the cancellation form, which can be downloaded from the link below, and return it in person to immigration staff at any control points. Upon submission of the cancellation form, you need to produce relevant documents for verification of identity. The cancellation of enrolment service is free of charge.
